Mark Walker

Mark was nominated for a BAFTA award for the drama Sea Monsters, his graduation film from the National Film & Television School in 2004. The film earned several European awards including Best Director at the International Henri Langlois festival in Poitiers. Mark left the NFTS with a distinction for his Masters Degree. He has since directed televsion drama for BBC, ITV and Sky. He also wrote and directed the short Floating for Film Four which has screened numerous times on Channel 4 and Film Four. Mark has a particular skill with actors, often eliciting solid and engaging performances from his cast.

Mark's skills as a director are complemented by his background as a trained painter and sculptor. In addition to his work in narrative drama, Mark is equally at home with a strong visual concept. Working through Factory Films (UK), Mark has made a number of distinctive music videos, some of which were collaborations with Wyld Stallyons. Mark is a valued and trusted member of WS, he brings warmth, experience and a confident hand. We look forward to making more exciting work with him.

Mark is currently developing his first feature film with assistance from the Cannes Festival Foundation.
