Halcyon Nights is Jack Pirie and Alex Hylands-White, two London based directors. Specialising in live action film, Jack and Alex favour in camera effects, rather than computer trickery.

With backgrounds in music and editing respectively, Jack and Alex moved into the directing chair, always paying close attention to the relationship between sound and image. Their ideas are always driven by narrative and the work is often moody and atmospheric (quite unlike the two themselves).

Alex and Jack were the winners of the 2011 Drum & Bass Arena Awards for Best Music Video
