From a family of architects, designers and painters, it was inevitable that Chris would enter the visual arts. He was inspired by Disney and Warner Bros cartoons and later by 4 Mation, which showed innovative animation in the early days of Channel 4.

After graduating from the Royal College of Art, Chris worked for Moving Image and design house Intro on commercials for Orange, Airbus and Yell.com, and music videos for bands and artists such as Feeder, Lucie Silvas, Elton John, Beth Orton and The Doves. Chris was Director of Animation on the BBC funded feature-length animation The Snow Queen which premiered on Christmas day 2005.
